idi tach and stumble issues..help

Ok! got the new tach sensor in today. took about a whole 5 minutes to change out. was really close to the air pump but i was careful installing the new one to keep trailing the wires along so i didnt twist them into a snarl. fired her up and instantly she was showing a steady 600 rpm at idle, took her out for a test run and shifting seems much improved and constant. however i didnt get to take her out on the interstate yet to see if that pesky stumble went away too.
im thinking of changing out the rear speed sensor too. soon as i can set aside a couple more bucks,
