My Excursion sat for 13 months while I was deployed and the paint is cracking and coming off the roof in chunks. There seems to be some surface rust below the paint. I want to fix it so it doesn't happen again.

Anyone familiar with Hampton Roads well enough to recommend a good body shop?

 

I'm on the wrong end of VA to be able to help you out. But, there are many, many FTE members living in that area. You might try posting a thread about it in the VA Chapter thread. I'd say you'll likely get some pretty good responses.

I had good results at Car Struction in Chesapeake. I had a dent under the tail light repaired and painted. They blended the paint over the whole rear panel and the rear barn door. Looks perfect to me. I live in VB and I'd take my Ex back to them in Chesapeake.

 

Well, I am visiting VB for a week. ...don't really have anything constructive to add, just letting you know I am around.

But I did get a Ford Escape for my rental.. we should set up an impromptu GTG.
