Question on the sway control. Would it come into play with a truck camper in the bed as opposed to pulling a trailer? The TC is 4000# plus. I was doing some highway driving the other day and I thought it handled better with the sway control off. I was wondering if it was my imagination.

Well I will see how mine pulls on the 20th. We traded our trailer in on Friday and made a deal on this baby, 11,058 lb dry scaled weight. I will have just under a week to get our new truck broke in before we go down and pick it up.

I went to the scales today. Here is what I got:
Fully loaded truck and trailer on the way to camping. I did have 5 cinder blocks in the bed of the truck too, but they will be going all the time.
Truck and Trailer with WDH connected:
Steer: 4220
Drive: 4860
Trailer: 8040
Gross Weight: 17120
Truck and Trailer Without WDH connected but still on the truck:
Steer: 3960
Drive: 5240
Trailer: 7920
Gross Weight: 17120
Truck and Trailer NOT Connected
Steer: 4340
Drive: 3840
Trailer: 8920
Gross Weight: 17100
That puts the truck at 8180 lbs. with 2 adults, 3 kids, 1 dog, 1 small bike in the bed, my golf clubs, 5 cinder blocks, 1 case of beer, 1 case of Power Aid, and WDH attached to the truck.
Trailer weight is 8920, tongue weight 1020. That makes 11.4% to the tongue. My hitch does take 380 lbs off the tongue and moves some to the steer axle and some to the trailer axle.
I had no sway while doing 60-63, but when got to about 65-68 it started to move some. I did have the sway control on half way and did not see to much of a difference. I may have to tighten up the screws under the hitch a little and that may help the sway some.
Overall avg. 9.2 mpg over the 100 mile trip. I was in the morning stop and go traffic on the highway to start, but still happy with the way the truck handles.

Sounds like we both feel the same. I also has a 6.0L but decided on the 6.2L because of the lower cost and maintenance. I thnk many of us changed for the same reason.
