The Cooter Chronicles...an Update

It's been a while and progress has been slow...but...things have gotten done.

1. Sanderson Headers installed, tried the long tubes but they wouldn't fit and ended up with their block huggers.

2. Seat is back from the upholsterer. Ostrich inserts to match the boots...it's a Southwest thing.

3. Drive shaft is in and drive train is complete.

4. Parking brake is in and working.

5. Got the Kugel pedal assembly installed along with the brake MC and clutch MC.

6. Installed the Lokar 5-speed shifter.

7. Mocked up the steering...1 1/2" Sch. 40 PVC pipe makes a great 2" dia. steering column.

8. Installed electric fuel pump and ran fuel lines.

9. Installed the Griffin radiator and electric fan.
10. Painted jambs and a few other small parts.

Looks too clean to be true, Jack! Are you going to disassemble for paint?

Everything has been blasted except the cab. The underside of the cab is done, I'll lift the cab, wrap the frame and plastic the interior. The paint is the original and sands pretty easy. I have to run brake lines and electrical, then I can fire it up to move it in and out of the garage. i know it's a little backassward but the weather messed me up and I wanted to keep going on something. I'm going to assemble the doors, hood, and fenders for fit and then disassemble to paint.

I was assuming the yellow was epoxy primer, but now I recall that's your color coat. Very subtle shade!

The color doesn't show up well in the pictures. It's a light yellow...1965 Mustang color...Springtime Yellow. Looks better in person.

Thanks, it's a Bosch pump that I got from TPiS up in Minneapolis. They're a Corvette tuner and used to do the fuel injection on my race motors.
