Oil pressure dropping
My truck has a jasper rebuilt long block with 10,000 miles on it. I just put an '87 mustang H.O. cam, new roller lifters, a double roller timing chain, shorter pushrods, and my existing 1.7 roller rocks on it.
Just after I did the swap my oil pressure was unusualy high. Now 2 weeks later it is still high at idle and cruising around but when I am accelerating hard above 3,000rpm I suddenly lose all oil pressure. Also I can hold the motor at 4,000 rpm with no load and there is only a slight loss of oil pressure.I have changed my oil and it is still doing it.
What could be causing this? Please help!
