2006 6.0 stumble
#181
After the scan:
- EGR excessive backpressure (after installing new EBP Sensor)
- Still something with the #6 cylinder ( I am sure this is my stumble)
#6 injector is the one I replaced
I will check for a frayed wire on the injector harness tomorrow
don't know what to do about the EGR valve ....... I still have my old one..... might put that one in and see what happens

on edit: Sorry......I see Benny already asked for the codes.

P0402 C* Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected EGR Valve Position does not match desired, limits based on
engine speed / load.
EGR Valve stuck or sticking - EGR Valve Position Sensor Bias - EP
Sensor bias.engine speed / load.
EGR Valve stuck or sticking - EGR Valve Position Sensor Bias - EP
Didnt you just put in a new EBP sensor and EGR valve
Could this one be the root cause of the stumble
P0277 C O R Cylinder #6 Injector Circuit High FICM detected an open injector circuit. Injector circuit open, defective coil
Could this code be leftover from the broken pin on the injector that you replaced and just needs to be cleared
I
Dave I just dont know what to say about your truck it just doesnt want to cooperate
It just keeps draggen on and on
I just keep waiting for you to say I fixed it

Yeah Benny,
I am waiting on me finding the problem and telling everyone that LOL !!
I just pulled the cables off of the batteries one more time to see what happens..
If I get the CEL again ...... I am taking it to the dealer and have it flashed back to stock and maybe get that EGR/Intake cleaning done.

yeah ... I forgot to mention that during all of the Gremlin issues ..
After I hook the batteries back up ... shortly after that the CEL will come back on.

Hypathetical Question:
Obviously I am getting the #6 Injector issue...... could the glow plug be bad?
if the glow plug was bad wouldn't I be blowing black smoke because the injector #6 is pushing fuel into the cylinder without being burnt?
or
does the computer see that the glow plug for #6 isn't working and shuts #6 injector down so it will not push raw fuel into the cylinder

Ok............ with everything that going on (LIFE) .........
My first thought was just take it in and let them run the test on the truck, but I thought I would do sime checking 1st.
I will be pulling the driver side injector harness starting this evening and carefully inspecting it for problems.
if the harness checks out good I will then pull the FICM and open it up to check for any problems.
I will keep you guys updated on what I find.

managed to get a good look at the the (4) wires coming from #6 injector and I could not find anything frayed or burnt. No tell..tell signs of anything wrong with wiring. gave a little tug on each of the (4) wires to make sure they were seated in the FICM end of injector harness plug.
looked over the FICM real good...... checked all prongs and made sure none were bent. All were straight.
opened the FICM and checked it real good to see if I could find anything burnt or out of the ordinary. Couldn't find anything.
I have a new plug spliced on the old injector that had the #4 prong bent and I am going to re-install this one and put everything back together to see if anything changes.
Does anyone have a diagram of the fuses under the hood on drivers side with a name for each fuse
