57-60 IFS install
Hi all, here is an update on the truck...I am cutting the front clip out of the Monte Carlo, And starting the install of it into the truck shortly. I sat down and reasoned back and forth over the MII kit and what I have....What I have is cheaper..I have it. I will rebuild the Monte clip...New bushings, ball joints, ect ect and redo the brakes and lines and pads. I pulled the steering column but it is not a tilt so it will find a new home in the junk pile, I did keep the Power brake booster and related components/brackets.
I also got a smokin' deal on a motor..50$ for a 1970 351W from a torino wagon? or squire wagon? any how the guy asks what its for and I tell him the story of the truck and he adds in a 71 289 because he is tired of looking at it....WOO HOOO score. I havent picked up the motors yet but He says the turn freely
I am going to get them this week and check them out carefully.
