Cooled seats..Filter..Anyone changed yet?

I took mine out this afternoon and blew them out with the air hose,thanks for the heads up guys!

I think my wife and daughters would appreciate it at times if the seats could reverse airflow and run the air into the filter and back out into the cabin. heehehe.

That one is easy, just reverse the polarity of the fan motor. You need to add a charcoal filter to it though to get any benefit.

Im buying a Expedition with 80 K on it and the flow was.... not much.
tried to see how they worked. The posted Pic helps alot. THey are pretty simple. Put my hand over it and it was "sucking" so but didnt check the filter, the dealer is looking at it today before i pick up the truck. are there any other issues with the cooled seats? Holes plug up?

srkr, how cold do the seats get? is it very noticeable?

Mine are very noticable.... There are 3 settings... I needf to turn them down after 5 min (wearing shorts) Bottom, and lower back... approx 6" up.

You can find them for like 15 on a couple of different website if I remember correctly.

I checked mine at 15,000 miles and they were clean. I was surprised because I use my heating and cooling fairly often.

Dang - you learn something new every day here about our SDs. Mine doesn't get much use in my part of the country in January, but they sure are nice along with the fanny warmers while that cold blooded diesel takes many miles to blow heat when it's cold.
