I did a personal tour of Donut Derelicts with John Gilbert of Peterson Publishing on Saturday morning, Was a lot of fun.

I have not been able to do the beach tour as i never was able to get there on Thursday. Some of my runs out were Banzai runs for me, Leave Phoenix at Three AM on Saturday morning, then head back after the show.

I promised my self i would NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN drive across that frackin desert without air conditioning after the show with "christine". Phoenix is hot but that stretch from Palm springs to Blythe in the late afternoon is REALLY HOT!

And, while you may have seen 1973/79's (your favorites), I only pay attention to the pre 1973 stuff (my favorites), so I musta missed them.
Actaully, I can't stand '78-'79 grilles, they look like braces, and that yucky race track trim? My favorite years are all '61-'66s, and '67-'72s and '73-'76s
The '78 and '79s remind me to much of the ugly "bullnose" '80-'86s.
AND, To tell you the truth, I probably pay more attention to the '61-'66s at car shows. Not to REALLY fond of Bumpsides myself...
But then again.. I know your favorite is a '71 F-100 Ranger-XLT.

A little late, but here are a few pics from the show.

There were a few cars there. All of them were mustangs if I recall correctly. You can see one in the background of the Red/White Slick.
