2000 4.2L V6 fuel economy
Hi,
I've got a 2000 F150 with the 4.2L V6. Stock rims with 255/70/R16 tires. It's got roughly 350,000KM and I feel the fuel economy just isn't as good as it used to be. Any tips for raising it? I have an exhaust leak, took it to the shop and they couldn't figure it out because it "wasn't loud enough".
I'm getting 550KM to $100 with mostly highway driving and I'm driving it rather easy.
Thanks,
Brendan

So what did the mileage used to be, and how much has it declined?

That says nothing useful about what kind of mileage you are getting now.
My 2003 4.2 just about always has done between 17-18 MPG for mixed driving (50% city, 50% highway). I have been as low as 15, and as high as 21, but 17-18 is normal for mine.
