First off saying hello to everyone. This board has a ton of info on here I cant believe it. I have a 2005 F250 6.0 basically stock just an exhaust at this point. This is my first truck Ive owned and I really enjoy it. I have heard lots of horror stories on these trucks but am willing to take my chances. I did have coolant loss issues and a lot of smoke out the exhaust last week during a fishing trip about about 130 miles north of me. I called all around cental PA with no luck of getting the truck looked at. Bought a few gallons of water to make sure I would make it home ok. Called a dealership that I was referred to and they said it would be at least a week till they could get to it. I called a dealership in Red Lion which I hadnt heard much about, Apple Ford, they got me in the same day to look at it. Ended up needing an EGR cooler and Oil cooler after I was told by multiple people the headgaskets were most likely the cause. Had it back the next day (Friday) shortly after lunch. Just didnt know if anyone had dealt with them before or if most people just wait to get their truck serviced or what? Just wanted to share that and look forward to gaining a ton of knowledge from this board.

The company I work for has been dealing with them for the past couple of years buying work trucks. They seem to be happy with them and their service. I'm glad you had a good experience with them as well.

 

Welcome to the crew. I have a 2003 6L and, knock on wood, all I've had replaced is the turbo. Warranty covered that so I'm happy.
