Having a difficult time locating replacement OEM running boards for my 2000 Excursion Limited... The metal brackets are completely rusted out on mine, the body is in perfect shape & I would appreciate any info with this dillema?

I called dealership & was informed that the complete running boards are no longer available. However, running board reinforcement were available for each side & then each side requires 5 brackets, which are also available. The top side of the lighted running boards on my limited look just fine - do you think the aforementioned "running board reinforecement" & 5 brackeets per side will cure my problem???

 

What parts do u need? Mine r sitting in the side of my house. Metal pieces running the length r shot but everything else is good. Let me know.

My running board tops, including the lights are just fine - it's the under side metal brackets on each side which are toast! Ford has advised that there are 5-brackets per side which attach the running board "metal reinforcement piece" to the body. Sounds like I need 2 reinforcement pieces (one for each side) and 10 brackets (5 per side)... I am currently in the Chicago/Milwaukee area but will be returning to northern arkansas very soon...

anyone want to give up there wire harness from the running board to the connector. driver side

I currently have a household of friends & family here for the weekend, further noting that the "war department" keeps peeking into the office wanting to know what's going on! I would like to call Ford Dealership on Monday to verify that your previously mentioned running board parts from your 2003 ex will fit my 2000 limited ex & we will proceed from there...
