what are you guys paying in personal property tax?

I recently purchased a 2007 f-250 cclb diesel and the dealer forced me to get truck tags against my will. I now have to send a letter to the DMV headquarters in Richmond to get the gross weight changed and put on regular tags. I have a bad feeling they will give me a hard time and am trying to figure out the worst case scenario if I have to keep the truck tags (truck tags disqualify you from personal property tax relief). What are you guys with truck tags paying in personal property tax on a vehicle similar in value to mine?

Prior to this, it had been registered at the 10,000 GVWR on the door post decal.
like he said...shouldn't be hard to fix locally. (emphasis on shouldn't). it's just one piece of paper. i was actually thinking of putting truck tags on mine but ended up deciding the lower tax rate was more cool than truck tags lol. the guy at dmv tried to give me a hard time, but i think he was just embarassed that i knew more about my truck than he did...

Well I tried a different DMV today and got it taken care of no problem. Apparently the lady at the other one didn't know what she was talking about. Glad I got that all taken care of, my property tax would have been through the roof
