Brake lights don't work when I tilt the steeriing wheel down, also wipers sometimes come on for 1 swipe buy their self or when you turn on blinkers. Also cruise does not work. Any ideas?

Hi strickld98 and welcome to FTE

I'd be inclined to remove the upper and lower covers off the steering column, behind the steering wheel and check for connectors only partially plugged in or other bad connections. I've seen the connector at the back of the multifunction switch (signal, wiper etc switch) burned or nearly unplugged. Check that first. Also check the connectors further down under the steering column and make sure they are all plugged in ok.
As for your cruise control did the problem start at the same time as the other problems? Have you checked all the fuses? Some brake light problems can also cause no cruise control.

I just purchased the truck from an individual, and the truck had these problems. I'm not sure when they all started. I plan to get into the steering column this weekend.

Thanks racerguy, found loose connector in steering column that was the problem. the clips are broke that hold it in so I'm going to replace it. I'm going to need to remove the key switch to get the top cover off and I don't know how to get the key switch out. Can anyone offer advice?

To get the ignition lock cylinder out you turn the key to the run position then take a small screwdriver or pick or somthing push it into the little hole under the lock cylinder to release the button that holds it in. Once you have the lower cover off you can see the hole I am talking about quite easily. It is in the bottom of the "barrel" sorta thing that the lock cylinder fits into. Hard to describe, easy to do once you take a look
