Meyer plow braces for 66-79 F250

Some useful info with pictures for meyer plow braces for Meyer "custom classic" plows '' .. You'll rarely find these parts for sale and if you do and have no use for them please put them up for sale over on FTE's for sale section .. The diagrams and parts pages will help you ID the parts .. Or just list what you got here on this thread ..

No problem I have 2 dents plow trucks and am always looking for Meyers parts .. They seem to work best for our dents .. The problem if you live in plow country the bodies and frames of the trucks don't last unless you do a real careful restoration so they hold up ..

I know about Michigan rust. LOL I'm not putting a plow on my highboy I just rebuilt, but am looking for one to put a plow on. Got to replace my CJ7 plow vehicle. Early this summer I missed out on a 1979 F350 4x4 on craigslist by 30 minutes for 5K, with a Meyer plow. Man, it was in nice shape too

I lived in Benzie county in Honor, Mi. for a while .. Plowed there with a dent .. Now I live 60 miles inland from lake Erie and have a 600 ft. driveway to keep open Can you say "Lake Effect"

Been thru Honor before, nice area. I'm north of Detroit about 30 miles. Last 2 winters here have been brutal with below zero temps and plenty of snow. I'm ready for some mild winters.

I wish I could find the part of the lower frame that bolts to the truck Fram fir the lowboy trucks. I have Meyers plow with one of the poly type blades my grandpa had bought and had on the highboy I have now. I was going to put it on my 79 and found there is more differences than I imagined. I'm probably going to have to modify them.

I have a couple Meyer plow set-ups for the 77.5-79 F250's. I'm keeping one for my own truck but will be selling the other at some point. They are a pretty sweet set-up, I like them better than the Fishers...which I also happen to have for sale (for a 76-79 F150).

Fisher is much better than Meyers. Meyer is light duty.

Both Meyer and Fisher make good plows .. The which is better debate would have to be an apples to apples comparison model vs. model The plow brace of each has there good and bad points

I have the remainder of the later Meyer plow brackets from the torch removal that went on before I got it. What I notoced was the highboy brackets seemed made better. The complete set I have I think was new around 1994 I'd have to guess the other one was older not sure if that makes a difference.

That's actually what I paid to get my grandpas setup back. The last guy had it for almost 20 years never used it when he got it from us. I haven't tried it yet but I woukd think it will still run.
