10.5" Aluminum Cover?

My rear diff cover has rusted to the point it has started leaking. I was nearly sure that a later year Superduty Aluminum finned cover fit our rear differentials.

Does anyone know the part number? I cant seem to figure it out on my own.

The cover from an online Ford dealer was $45.00. Compared to a Mag-Hytec cover priced over $200, this was a steal. The only extra pieces needed are longer bolts (5/16x18x1 1/4") as the new cover is thicker. I opted for stainless allen heads with stainless flat and lock washers. The part number for the cover is 8C3Z-4033-A. Don't forget the RTV to seal it up.

Same pattern as the front?

Does this same cover fit the front diff also? I though I remembered seeing a post back over the winter where someone had installed a pair of them. If so I think I'll be adding a set of them to my regear project budget.

No they're different. Your front is a Dana 50 but takes the same cover as a Dana 60. Clay has some nice covers for the front, Riffraff Diesel: G2 Diff Covers

Does that cover have a drain plug on it? I hate dealing with the rtv every time. Couldn't they use a re-useable gasket at least?

No drain plug. You really won't be changing the fluid again for a long time. If applied correctly, RTV won't leak.
