Hey hotrodbob51, Did you use that VHT silver paint on your headers? I have the same headers and I painted them the exact same color as yours. I had a thread a while back showing how I cured them (in my stove when the wife wasn't home lol)

LIke she did not smell that when she arrived home . I did the same with stainless steel finish on clean cast iron exhaust manifolds in the new oven . 3 step process with fumes . She caught it !! But at least I bought her the oven ( I call it her new computer for the kitchen )

Not sure when but working on it. It starting to get hot here is lower Alabama. Wish my shop had air.

Very cool! Great work! How did u smooth the firewall? I'm looking to smooth my '50 F1, but not keen on cutting the good stock firewall out. Tempted to weld on a smooth sheet over the existing firewall.

Thanks The fire wall is .063 Alum. I cut it to fit and am going to us some sealing stuff like seam seal. I did not want to cut the stock fire wall.
