Capacitor size?
Hey i have a 8 inch sub that is 27hz to 1.2khz its not the greatest sub and its hooked up to a 2 channel 80 watt amp that is made for speakers not subs hehe. I was wondering what size of cap i should put on the sub to reduce the high treble sounds i allready put on a 150 micro ferrad (electrolytic) cap and it reduce the treble some what but i was hopeing to reduce it more

Technically you need a coil (choke) in series with the woofer to kill the high frequencies. These are typically found in crossovers you can buy in a store like Radio Shack. They are made for 2 and 3 way home speakers, but you can use only the part you need. But this is not the best way to do it because crossovers waste power. I would position the speaker or use a bandpass box that will naturally reduce the higher frequencies. Or you can save up a little money and buy a crossover system that you plug into the RCA connections. This is the best way to go, and you will use this piece more and more as you upgrade and add more amps and speakers later on.
