Question Is 14 mpg good?

Just trying to know what to expect. I've got 800 miles on my 2011 F-250 6.2l 3.73 4x4 and I'm trying to figure out if everything is as it should be. I've averaged 14.0 mpg over the first 800 miles. No hauling or towing. Fairly level, small hills at most, with about 80% driving on the highway at 60-65mph and the rest on neighborhood roads at 35-40mph.

Is this about what to expect?

I average about 13.5 (unloaded). The majority of my driving is highway with average speeds between 60-70mph.

I've gotten 15 driving @ 72 with cruise and no hills. On the way back got 13.5 against a pretty strong headwind. This is according to the lie-o-meter.

Can't judge your mileage with so few miles on your truck, should get better with time, or not...

Still hovering around 10.5 city on mine (4.30 gears), maybe around 13-14hwy. As I get more used to the truck, I tend to not drive it as nicely as I did, and my mileage is getting better, so I got that goin' for me.....which is nice. BTW - I have 3300 miles on mine.

Your mileage sounds good to me.

I am getting around 14 mpg unloaded with careful driving. My 1/2 ton Hemi does much better even with the foot on the floor.

14 average for combined city/highway driving is a good honest average. You may see that improve slightly as you get a few thousand miles on the odometer.

And then you woke up. My brother has a truck almost identical to yours. He gets 16-17mpg.
