Oil pressure test

Hey everyone, been here on and off for months reading
about the 5.4 3v since our 5.4 has been sick for quite a while.

We had it at the dealership about a week ago due to severe
knocking/slapping. The computer gave p0012 and p0022 codes.
They replaced both tensioners, oil pump and one of the tensioner
seal.
A few months earlier another dealership replaced both
timing chains and one tensioner which did not fix the issue.
Last week we were told the issue was a bad tensioner seal
that the first dealership likely did not replace when changing
out the tensioner.
On their report last week they reported oil pressure was at 9psi,
replaced both tensions retested oil pressure and got 13 psi.
Everything i've read says minimum pressure is 25 psi,
I asked the service advisor about it and he said it's some "other
pressure test" they did that's not the over all oil pressure
and didn't want to explain what it was exactly.
It seemed to run ok for two days then went back to running like crap.
Its in the shop again....i don't even want to get into it...
but can someone tell me what pressure they were testing that
was 9 psi and then 13 psi ?

Thanks meborder.

Not much response so how about this.

What other oil pressure tests are performed on an engine
other than over all oil pressure?

Over all oil pressure was what was tested and it is not enough for proper engine operation. You need an engine. They should credit their repair labor toward the engine replacement.
