1980 Ranger F-250 build thread

Well, I have had this 1980 ford F250 ranger XLT for about 2 years now and have been doing a body off restoration on the thing. (Pretty big challange for a 15 year old ) It is regular cab, long bed, 4 wheel drive, with a 400/C6. I got it with everything for $100!

I have been meaning to Create a thread for a while now but just never got around to it. I have had a lot of questions along the way, and i know i will have many more. That is why i came here! Anyway, here are a few picture of the truck when i first bought it and along the way.

The main reason for the body off resto. The whole front end had 1/4" of grease all over it.

The frame after taking the body off

After sandblasting 2 times and paint.

The engine after coming back from the machine shop

The engine finally going back on!

engine, trans mission, and transfer case all back on!

Damn son. I thought taking it down to the bare cab and rear frame, and leaving the motor in but pulling the fenders hood and grille was bad. A frame off would have been nice though. Good job.

Well, as of today, i was officially kicked out of the garage!

It works out in the long run because i needed to take it out to put the body on!

Also recently i got the bottom of the cab cleaned and painted but still need to do a couple more coats before i can set back on the frame and start body work!!:

I love it. I will be doing a body-off resto on my F250 later down the road.
