95 ford f-350 5.8 burning HUGE AMOUNTS of oil
#16
new clue maybe checked the radiator after adding some water wasnt really low but it look discolored anywho looks like someone took a **** in it its green but when u watch it cycling through looks like **** soo i sucked some out with a 20 oz pepsi bottle and it looks like **** should i flush the system and then recheck it after running ? also i noticed where the oil filter goes in their a oil cooler hose their that goes to the rad could their be an issue their it doesnt over heat and the coolant lvl was still full and it runs warm but im assuming thats a normal thing as its 75 out and im doing 65+ but its still consuming oil after driving it about 80 miles today

As I mentioned in my 1st post, the oil cooler sandwich adapter that routes oil to the radiator could be a possibility. I would study this well as it could be failing.
If you plan on flushing, I would get the Prestone kit and install the "T" in the heater hose line. Then I would remove the thermostat from the block and button it all back together. Then you can hook the garden hose to it and give it a good flushing. Other member have suggested using prestone's flushing treatment. I have used it but it's up to you if you want to or not. It's safe for the majority of radiators out there.

I figure it leaking from the adapter, but not into the radiator. Like you said twigs, it would be an oily, murky mess.
Only other thought I have for the oil consumption, is we are missing something. Unless it's in the rad, blowing out the tailpipe, or their is so much sludge in the engine, it's collecting in thick areas, not draining and staying in the heads creating more sludge. If this is the case, I would remove the driver side valve cover, and check.
Other than that, I'm out of fresh ideas.
