IDK about other bedliners but mine would be hell on your bare feet.
Herculiner would also be bad news on the **** and feet (if you did the inside of the boat)...it has little hard rubber chunks in it that give you a nice rash if you scrub up against it hard enough.
Rather than Herculiner, you might look into the parent company that makes Herculiner, Durabak/Cote-L, for the smooth version of Herculiner, Durabak Smooth.
THAT STUFF WOULD WORK JUST FINE ! A LITTLE VERY LITTLE ROUGHNESS ON THE OUTSIDE , WHAT IS IT GOING TO DO SLOW HIM DOWN BY A COUPLE MINUTES GETTING ACROSS THE LAKE ! YOUR NOT GOING TO SET ANY SPEED RECORDS WITH THEM ORES ANY WAY !
I went with the spray on duplicolor bed liner. It doesn't seem to be any rougher than the aluminum was. I spray painted the sides siver to make it look nice and the bottom with the bed liner. The first coat is drying and it looks like it will be pretty solid once it dries.
I am not going to be entering into any races with the little boat. It is just for fishing and an electric motor will not be pushing me to fast. I just wanted to make the bottom tougher and a little more water proof.....If it has any leaks.
