ready to sell, whats this old truck worth?

I know it depends on what part of the country you are in and I'm sure the economy will have some say in the matter but can a few of you guys give your opinion on what this truck might be worth? the previous owner passed away and I bought it from his estate. the entire back of the truck was loaded solid with full rollaway tool boxes and welding equipment which is realy what I was after but I bought it all, truck included and am going to let the truck go. I dont know much about it other than it still has the original frame but all the running gear front and rear has been modernized with much later model 1 1/2 ton parts. it now has power brakes and a 400 ford v8 with c4 automatic and floor shifter. it has a new edelbrock aluminum intake and edelbrock carb, 40 gallon under bed big rig style fuel tank on one side and huge steel storage box under the other side. 4 of the 6 tires have less than 200 miles and the other 2 are like new. it has turn signals and a great working heater. all glass is new and so are all window and door seals. it has chrome around the windshield and door locks on both doors which I believe makes it a five star cab? (read about it) the interior is very decent and was all redone 5 years ago as was the paint . its probably not quite show quality but very close. no dents or rust other than a decent size chip ,about 1 inch square on the passenger door. everything works but the fuel gauge but there is also a fuel gauge on the tank itself which does work. it runs and drives great and all the bed wood and stake sides are in very good shape. that's about all I know . if a few people who have more knowledge of these old trucks can chime in and give me a better idea of what its worth I would sure be grateful. its ready to go I just don't know what I should ask for it. thanks for any help. Gregg

I'd keep the truck and sell the tools--but I got the sickness bad--and do not want any cure.

Just saw your ad on CL last night, F3 flat bed truck 1952 super clean LOOK!.

$7500 is reasonable, but there really isn't a selling price guide/range for larger trucks. Generally, the rule of thumb is the larger the truck, the harder it is to sell, thus the cheaper it is to buy. However, with the modifications being done to the truck, and if it runs and drives very well, and can keep up with today's traffic on the freeway, then $7500 isn't a bad price for what you have. Mind you that the correct 5-star deluxe cab trim on the hood is missing.

If I were in the market to buy a flatbed truck, I'd probably offer around $5k for it if the truck looks just as good as it does in the pictures. I've always wanted a parade truck for the kids from my wife's preschool to fit onto.

thanks for the opinions guys. yes , it runs freeway speeds with ease. 70+ without a problem. I read somewhere on the net that the standard cabs for 52 had no chrome around the windshields and only a door lock on the passenger door? I allowed $6000 for the truck when I bought it . I have since spent $600 on 4 new tires so I actually have $6600.00 in it. I would probably let it go for $6000 otherwise I will just keep it here and use it as a lawn ornament because it looks GOOD in my yard

Careful! That's one expensive lawn ornament. Once the truck starts to sit, it'll deteriorate really fast. Than you'll have a truck that you won't be able to give away. You should drive the truck at least a few times a month.

If you decide to keep it, I will volunteer to drive it for you.....you know, to keep it in good condition.
Nice looking truck, if I was in the market, I would pay the asking price.

Do we have a truck loaner program here at FTE? I would like to sign up.
I know nothing about prices, but what you are asking sounds reasonable.
It's a beautiful truck.
