One more try at FTE

We seem to be in some very turbulent times in our weather…we have many members of FTE who have lost homes, businesses and their livelihood to water, many who are in extreme drought conditions and now we have fire ravaging the southwest.
Yesterday Los Alamos New Mexico (where I grew up and my family is) was evacuated .....18k people gone because of a fire that has grown 50 thousands acres in just 20 hours
…. It was just 11 years ago we lost 400 homes in Los Alamos to the Cerro Grande Fire that fire was only 48 thousand acres…it took a month to get that big….this Las Conchas Fire is extremely fast
.....Take a moment today and pray not just for fire victims but for all victims,….. During a very turbulent time in America with Mother Nature
Each day find something good in it.

I was going to say that myself, haha. In my head I was being sarcastic with trying to predict CO weather, but it doesn't come out in text. I lived there far too long to not know you can't predict CO weather worth a dang.

Do you know if the area is one affected by beetle kill?
There are miles & miles of dead forest in some areas of the mountains in CO, it's scary to look at and imagine what's someday probably going to happen....

any luck with the job hunt there shawn?
IM looking myself, i am currently working for halliburton here in grand junction but am sick and tired of the bureaucratic bullsh** that you have to jump through just to get what you have coming and have earned. so im looking for some other placement in the area. i cant remember if i asked you before but do you have cdl? and do you mind working out of state? not sure if you have a wife and kids and all, but if you have a CDL and are willing to work in North Dakota you can go up there and make $29 an hour to start and all you gotta do is drive a water truck. i aint going cause i have been there and im not that hard up for money. (its a personal thing with north dakota, i just dont like being there at all and my wife hates me being gone, told me she would be gone when i got back if i went back up there) but hey it is an option. from my understanding the qualifications are just showing up for the job.
by the way, if your looking for work out in that area and can work a 2 on 1 off thing you can look into any oilfield jobs out there, you can make bank but you gotta work yer a$$ off for it. you will be out in the weather at all times of the day and wont stop just cause of a little flood or a blizzard but they pay you well for it. just a thought
