redoing my chassis, with the drivetrain in?? plus a shackle flip Q

ok i am gonna get started on putting the rust free texan body on my 1988 f-250 4wd. the trucks got a pretty toasted body, but the frames good and solid. but i figure since the body is gonna be off i should paint the chassis nice, i read on here before of guy's using por-15 rite over the rust.

my question is does this por-15 stuff work good enough to justifie 140.00 a gallon and can i paint rite over the rust with the drivetrain still in.

also i saw on here a shackle flip kit, but i couldnt find a company on the net that sold them. id like to flip the shackles all the way around to lift it but what do i do ith the center for drop brakets, the one a saw on here was a 1-ton and like i said i could'nt find a name on the kits..

POR15 is $$$, Ive used chassis saver and rust bullet before (cheaper) with the same results.

Actually if you want a good laugh I painted a toyota with rustolem rust reformer rust converting spray, then sprayed it all down with satin. Very few spots returned and I didnt even do that good of a job prepping it. Total cost 20 bucks.

A POR 15, Chassis Saver, Rust encapsulator and the like are all superior to a standard paint. You still need to prep the frame correctly though. Big rust scale needs to be removed and all WAX ,GREASE, OIL, ANY contaminant need to be removed or it will not adhear correctly

You cannot use a RSK on a TTB f250. for the rear, yes you can do that. If you need a Dana 60 to make your truck into a F350, let me know. I get them all the time

dam i was hoping i could put drop brakets in the center and run the sahackle kit. geuss i'll just buy a 4" lift, i just didnt want to have to run arched spings.

as for the d60, i cant realy afford the sawp. but if your still looking to paint a truck, this ones got a rust free body.

how about the lesser white doors, and the grey panels.. aslong as the doors are solid, just dont want to spend more than 125.00, they're a gift..
