Sold my 99 F250 V-10, picked up an 06 F-150 XLT HOPE I DON'T REGRET IT

Well I planned on keeping my truck for another few years. It had little rust, no mechanical issues, only about 114k miles, and I only drive about a mile to work so the V-10 isn't much of an issue. but.... Yesterday I had a friend offer me $8000 cash for it so I sold it to him. Then went and bought an 06 F-150 XLT from a family friend. This F-150 has the 5.4 motor, most power options, 80k miles and an excellent condition 09 Fisher snow plow. I had a plow on my old truck and I need one so thats a huge plus for me. This truck is in excellent condition and I know the owner who took good care of it. I got it for $15k including the plow, figured that was a pretty decent deal since the plow is worth $3k alone.

Initially I only wanted a 3/4 ton truck but after thinking about it. I pull a 2 place snowmobile trailer sometimes, a 3500lbs camper, a 24ft pontoon boat, and occasionally some other small trailers and I think a 1/2 ton can do all that and save me some gas in the mean time... I guess we'll see I just hope I don't regret going with the 1/2 ton.

I agree. I think your acquisition will suit your needs just fine. I think you got a pretty decent deal on it too, including the plow. Nicely bought!

Thanks, I think it was a great deal too. Even the bank valued it at $19,500. Anyway I think it will work fine for us, can't wait to pick it up. .

The V10 probably pulled a little stronger, but for most of the use you are describing I think you'll be in love with the 06. I sure love mine, for what it's worth!
