I would imagine Summit, Jeggs, etc would have them.

I'm sure Headman/hooker/flowteck/BBK etc. will work as long as you don't have 4x4.. just my experience is that anything with 4x4 is a C . . . to find headers that fit well. Try Jeggs or summit or your local parts store.

+1 on that bit.
I am looking for a set to fit a '79 4x4 with a 460 BB here in Australia, and have found 1 set local that the guy wants $1600 aud for. lol
That's not going to happen.

You may want to look at the shorty headers for the 5.0 trucks. They have them at Summit for less than $150 bucks, and if you check around on some of the Ford Lightning boards, you can find the stock lightning shorty headers for $50 to $75. You then have the flexiblity in fabricating your connector pipes from the headers to the muffler(s).

Thanks for all the info. I forgot to mention that the truck is a manual and it is a two wheel drive. The headers from Hedman say they are only for automatics. I tried Jegs but not Summit.

hmm not 100% sure but i would tend to think that having an auto would hinder you and that anything would fit a stander transmission. usually anyway. auto's have the wider body's an such.. guess there's the clutch rod/pivot. Just thinking out loud.

Yes, and as much as they get dogged on here....I prefer to go with the 5.0 due to that fact. I love the support and parts availability. I am willing to run my stroked 302 against any 351. I knocked down 8.1 sec at 83mph in my last 1/8 run, 4.84 0-60 time, and 1.83 60' time.... according to my datalogger.

I checked Summit and the exact same Hedman Headers didn't say that they were auto only, but three other sites say that they are.

put u a set of big tube shortys on it i had a 75 302 auto w a side mount tank it had duals on it i found a set of bbk shortys at a local pic n pay bolted them on. the exhaust ran from driver side under the bellhousing to the pass side then after the rear crossed back over n came out the driverside so if u can find a good exhaust shop u could even run long tubes but the shortys will do the same thing as long tubes

Basically what I did. I welded up a mandrel 2.5" y-pipe to a merge into a single inlet dual outlet magnaflow that splits and comes out the back as duals. Here is a pic of the much improved y-pipe. I currently am using gen1 lightning shorty headers.
