Did early Dentsides come with Vin sticker on drivers door jamb?

I have a Crewcab cab that was on a cab/chassis custom coach vehicle, (one of those Roll a long jobs I think) so I think it was purchased without a frame by them, I found the sticker under the paint, it has a vin that comes up unknown, and has no other info on it.
I thought it was only the cars that had these stickers on the jamb, I dunno, I could wrong.

That's the Fed Safety Certification sticker. It has the VIN on it but it's not the legal VIN plate. The drivers door should have a metal warranty plate on it with the same VIN but again it's not the "official" VIN.
On dentsides the actual "official" VIN, the one used for title purposes is stamped on the passenger side top frame rail in two places. The one that's easiest to find is in the engine compartment between the radiator support and firewall, most commonly about inline with the alternator. The second one is underneath the cab usually about 8-11" behind the front cab mount.
Post your VIN and see what we can come up with.

The sticker looks to be F25YC086416 and it just says TRUCK after the Vin, the frame comes back as a chassis/cab dually, (its Vin F37YRT03692) I cut up the frame and scrapped it. The cab went on my 140" wb frame.
I thought the tag was just a way Ford could give a "cab only" unit a identification.

F25YC086416
F25= F250 2WD pick up
Y=360 cu in 2bbl V8 engine
C=Ontario Truck Plant
086416= Sequential serial number-problem-The first digit should be a letter not number(73-77) or the first two digits should be letters (78-79).
Is it possible the "0" is a "Q"? Thats would make it a 1973 model.
The letter "O" was used for 1977 models but then there wouldn't be a "Y". 360's weren't used after '76.

Also, back in the day, anyone who wanted to (and had the money) could order a complete cab through any dealer's parts department. All you needed was p/n D9TZ-1000001-A, cab. This was a "skeleton cab" and came in white only and included the door shells, no glass or hardware. P/N D9TZ-1000000-A was a complete cab and included doors, glass, hardware, vent system, brake pedal support, instrument panel pad, interior trim, visors, inside rearview mirror,seat belts. The interior was "sand".
The cabs were considered replacement parts so didn't come with a new VIN number.

It probably is a "Q". The cab is from a '73 model. The VIN on the label should read F25YCQ86416.
Here is what your label originally looked like.

My 76 has (had) the tank behind the seat. I think the latest they were available was early 77 production. I'm not sure where Mike got that sticker but I know you can get virtually, if not all of the original paperwork like build sheet, number built like yours, etc., and stickers from Marti Report.
