Truck/Trailer wiring all fugged up...

I got a neat little trailer yesterday, went straight to O' Reilly's, and bought a matching 4 pin/flat connector...

I THOUGHT it was going to be straightforward....But No.....

I can get either stop lamps and NO turnsignals....OR .....Turn signals and NO stop lamps....And I REALLY need both....

The tail lights on the trailer, has the standard 4'' lenses, and a have a smaller, 2" x 2" lens on the outer side....

The stoplamps have 3 wires in them-
White-Ground-It's already grounded to the trailer frame
Gray
Brown/Grayish

and the smaller lenses have just a single gray wire from it (It is on a common ground plate with the stop lamps)...

My question is, on the 4 pin connector (Trailer side) it has the following color coded wires

Black-Ground
Black w/ Green Stripe-Right Turn Signal
Black w/ Yellow Stripe-Left Turn Signal
Brown-Stop lamps

Do I wire the brown (Stoplamps) wire to each of the turn signal wires? Or will that short the system out?

All help is greatly appreciated....Reps WILL be sent for this.....

-Wes

Brown is the Marker lamps (running lights), not stop lights.
The turn wires are also the stop lamp wires.

I stand corrected....Will they function like the regular taillamps o a truck? Marker/Brakes/Turnsignals?

Thats what i am looking to get accomplished.....Is that how they are supposed to function?

Yes it is.
Do you need a diagram?

Here is one:

depending on your hitch type and trailer connector (assumeing standered 4 pin trailer) and your truck if its an RV hook up will either be a 6 pin or 7 pin (mine is 6 pin) you could go to your local Uhaul place and get the proper adapter for your hitch/trailer as I had a similar issue where I need to go from 6pin RV to 4 pin trailer.
