Slight chugging at low RMP cruise

I just wanted to post this in case it proves useful.

I've been dealing with a slight "chugging" when cruising around town. When off throttle, 20-30mph, the truck exhibited a tendency to want to buck a bit. Nothing serious, just a little driveability issue that I felt "in the seat of my pants", if you know what I mean.

I've pulled codes, and read everything I could find on fine tuning this EFI system to no avail. I had previously replaced cap and rotor, wires, plugs, air filter, and oil, all part of a maintenance push when I first got the truck last February. Also had to replace the TPS, as it had failed.

The only things I hadn't done was fuel filter and O2 sensor. Yesterday I went ahead and finished the job with a new filter and sensor. While I was under the truck I had noticed a loose body bushing, and a harness or two that could of been better secured, so I went about tightening and securing along both frame rails.

I found my chugging issue. Both bolts that secure the transmission mount to the cross-member were at least two threads loose. I torqued them down, finished up my inspection, and took her for a spin.

Not only did the chugging issue disappear, but a "bump" when I engaged any forward or reverse gear went away.

So anyway, I just wanted to post this for information's sake.

Have a great day!!
