OT: RiffRaff MPG Package Would Be Nice!

Awhile back Diesel Power magazine took an older 12v Dodge and did a MPG test. They folded the mirrors back, covered almost every opening on the front end and the wheels, and airing up the tires to max. Removed the wiper arms, and most importantly threw a connecting rod under the skinny pedal. They ran the test around a loop in California topping off at the beginning and the end. They mentioned a very boring drive, but got something like 27 MPG when the numbers were calculated. Prior to the "mods" it could only pull low 20's.

The Good Lord built a MPG kit into me. At 5'6" I run out of leg before I run out of peddle.
Hate to tell this one on myself, Was running a loader at one of our concrete plants and was shocked at how little power it had. Was going to call mechanic when I had a chance. Back started hurting so I slid seat forward, solved power problem.

Dammit, a few years ago I posted a pic of a similar system I developed for the wife's diesel Jeep. Even came up with a catchy name. Dang entrepreneur stole my idea, though my system is designed to be attached to the floorboard with grabbers.

HAHAHA, this is great. I keep my foot out of it and go no more than the speed limit and can get 18.5 with a tail wind. 35 inch tires helped my hwy mpgs but hurt my in town. I shouldnt be complaining since i see a few fellas on here getting 12.
My dad gets 15 on his 2001 thats the main reason i was asking.
Thanks for all the humor I LOL in class!!!

Unfortunately, I think the programming would present too many safety issues. Pulling out in front of people would no longer be an option (and that would irritate a lot of people since pulling out in front of people seems to be something taught in driver education these days......).

I agree a throttle limiter compromises safety on roads in the US. Anybody ever driven a 4 cylinder Jeep Wrangler with bigger than stock tires and tried to merge on the interstate? It will rev but it's not going any faster in whichever gear you're in once you're at 3,000rpm. It's nice to have the extra power for the oh ***** situations. Half of these situations I come across require throttle, the other half brake.
