Fuel Pump

I am getting that trucks with in-cab tanks have different fuel pumps than trucks without in-cab tanks. Any help here? What's the difference? Is it just that the in cab one has a filter on the pump???

It looks like thats the only difference, is that the one for in-cab tank has a filter on the pump. I dont know why though, there must be a reason.

Different engines utilize different pumps. If you are talking about the FE series engine choose the aftermarket pump to fit a 4x4. All of the aftermarket pumps for the 2wd I've seen recently have a design that makes installation almost impossible. They designed the pump so there is no straight shot at the rear mounting bolt. The 4x4 pump incorporates the filter and allows easy installation. FWIW
