what parts called??



i put new voltage reg on 89 ford van but here picture y can see silver small round like shape of half hot dog but what is it called? and does it suppose be?

Radio Voltage Capacitor. I believe the only real function it to help keep the engine RPM noise out of the radio, where you hear a buzzing in your speakers that goes up with the engine RPM.

interesting... never seen before.. but Radio Voltage Capacitor has bad wiring so need to get new one.. but.. napa dont have one...

That noise suppression capacitor is marked .5 MF whichs stands for MilliFarads. Pretty sure the DR refers to manufacturer.
