New owner of F250

Hey there.. just found this website and decided to join.......so today, i just picked up a super clean, completely stock, 1992 f250 2wd extended cab 460 truck. i purchased the truck for 1150 dollars and drove it home. It dosent leak or burn any oil whatsoever and i cant seem to find any rust...the old man (original owner) who i bought it from has taken extremley good care of this truck and im very excitied that i now own it!!! It has 185,000 miles on it and i was wondering if there was anything i should be wary of at this point? everything feels nice and tight when im driving... the only thing that needs attention is the "brake and abs" light is on... the owner said this came on right after the tires were replaced... i am taking it to a shop tomorrow to have it looked at... i will also be taking the truck to have the tranny flushed and tranny filter changed... any other tips or tricks to these trucks? i will post a picture or two of the truck tomorrow.. thanks in advance for the help guys!!!

*** heres a pic in the rainy weather of seattle...

Welcome to FTE!

Are you sure its a 460? IIRC, a 300 (Inline 6), and a 351w were the engine choices...Now, if it were a 350, I could see that....

Just keep the oil and fluid changed....And do a good tune up (Plugs, wires, etc)...

Sounds like a recipe for a set of slick tires and a fine so long it'll rival the U.S Constitution....

Count the transmission pan bolts. If 17 bolts you have a 3 speed C6, if 20 bolts you have an E4OD (3 speed plus overdrive so 4 speed).
