Are you looking to upgrade your dash trim? I have panels to match your steering wheel that look NIB with XL markings on the radio trim though the dash is for a diesel. I bought these and then found a perfectly good set in the JY later. Let me know. I'm just trying to clean out the garage.

Thank you for the offer , but I just recently purchased the ones I have so I'll probably just use them. I was planning on swapping the steering wheel pad out later on.

love the paint. my truck had the metallic forest green color EXACTLY like yours under the olive drab matte paint. haha, when we pulled off the camper shell to start sand-blasting it and replacing the rear-cab-facing-window with a bigger one to see through better, we decided to pull out the plastic bed liner and yeah..exact same color just dusty and now scratched up.

Haven't done much. I've got the doors stripped down. Need to paint those. I'm trying to find the original Caramel colored fabric for the seats and I'm not having much luck. So in the mean time I've been working on my 71 mustang, but I suppose I better get back to work on the truck

Well it's been a looong over due update. You would think it would be done by now, but as usual life steps in the way and things get put on the back burner. I just started back working on it in the past few weeks though, after finishing up my Mustang last summer. Haven't got any progress pictures to post, but I managed to get the two wheel drive front suspension completely cut out and frame rails painted. I was given a rough 1986 F-250 4x4 that I took the Dana 50 out of and all the rest of the front suspension components. Had hoped to be able to use my 2wd cross member, but it was quite a bit different than the 4x4 one and thinner also, so I took it out and replaced it with the 4x4 one. Also added the passenger side frame brace/bracket' Just got to notch the front of the frame and bolt on the hangers, but right now I'm waiting on all my bushings and components to rebuild the 4x4 suspension. Also have to buy new front springs. Hopefully I'll get this thing done this summer.

On another note decided against using a Cummins and am just going to use a 7.3 instead. That way I don't have to fool around with making brackets and I don't have to buy that $750 trans adapter to run a ZF 5 speed. At least this way it should be a pretty straight forward simple install. One question though. Do 460 frame stands fit any other engines? The set I took off the 86 donor truck has 2 factory holes in each stand like they may have been able to be used for more than the 385 series.

Yeah I replaced the dash since I was converting to A/C. I found everything in a junkyard, even the 99.9% perfect dash pad. I got really lucky there. The interesting part is, the pad was originally black, the dash frame was dark brown/chocolate and the lower super cab panels were gray. The SEM dye really brought it all together and matched it up.

Another delayed update, but one none the less. This time I've been sidetracked by restoring a 1957 Ford 640 Tractor. Now maybe just maybe I can concentrate the rest of my time on this truck lol...

Managed to get the brackets installed today and the new springs hung. Waiting on some spring hanger bushings then on to getting the 4x4 installed. Couldn't decide how I wanted to do the front frame rails for the 4x4 brackets. Didn't feel like drilling all those extra holes or spacing the spring hanger out so I just transferred the whole deal. Took about 30 mins. Notched out for the hangers, brushed on some Rust Encapsator and this is where I'm at so far. Sorry for the pic quality, only had my cell with me.

Great work so far! I'm interested to see how much work is involved with the 7.3 install
