That is not true! I used it with all Ford Rebates as well as an XPlan price. I ordered by truck.

Iggy...I wasn't referring to your situation specifically. I was pointing out that not all offers are compatible...in order to determine compatibility the dealer must do a compatibility check. It's part of the Smart Vincent program and is the only way to be sure. I'm not sure what part of my statement you consider to be not true.

No big deal. This is the statement I disagree with.

Well after arguing with my dealership and Ford rebate center they did not give me the $750 off the price. According to them I had to have the $750 dated at the time I ordered the truck not 2 months later if I was going to use the rebates I locked in back in march. Not my fault the truck took 9 weeks to get here, oh well!

Big Daddy - You ordered a 6.2 correct? I'm just kicking around ordering one, when the rebates go to $4000 again I'll probably pull the trigger and order one! (Looks like $2500 for my area right now, zip code 55744) So are you saying if you would've had this $750 voucher at the time you ordered it, you would' ve at 4750$ in rebates? Also is that true on the rebates, you can't do any worst that at the time you order? If they go up before you get your truck you get the higher rebates, but if they go down you are locked in?

Thanks,
Chris

Here is my experience with the $750 rebate:

Ordered my F-350 6.2 in late January, 2011 and did not have the rebate certificate at that time. Sent for the brochure in early February so I actually got the certificate in the middle of February. Certificate had a expiration date of late March and this date passed without my truck even being built yet. Thought I was out of luck. Noticed in the fine print of the certificate that it could be transferred within a household. So, I sent for another brochure in early April under my wife's name using the same mailing address but her email address. Certificate came in late April with an expiration date of late May. Pickup finally delivered on May 16th and I was able to use my wifes certificate no questions asked. Didn't even have to prove she was my wife or have her sign any paperwork.

As to locking in rebates: Rebates at the time that I ordered in late January were $4000. Rebates when I took delivery on May 16th were lower (I think $3000?) so I received the $4000 that was locked in when ordering. Added the $750 certificate for a total rebate of $4750 at time of delivery. Salesperson told me that if rebates were higher at time of delivery I would have received the highest rebate.

In case anyone is curious I used the X plan pricing.

Sounds like I might be out of luck though as far as ordering one, and having the rebates go up? If they start making 2012's in July, I doubt a person could order one much later than right now.....I don't think the rebates are going to change before July 5th (current program expiration date). I 'm not sure if I wanna get stuck with a 3.73 rear end? So maybe I'll just wait until next year if all the above are true....

Where you at in Minnesota vvv? And what rear end did you get in your truck?

Thanks,

Chris

Yes I ordered a 6.2 CC XLT F250 Yes my experience was at the time of order rebates where $4000, they told me they gave me the truck at invoice, LOL which I know wasn't true invoice but is was about $2500 off sticker. So when then truck came in 2 months later, rebates where only $2500 so they locked the previous ones in. In those two months of waiting I got the $750 rebate coupon, but when time came to sign the papers they told me I had two options. Take the $4000 or take the $3250! No brainer their but I argued with everyone their but it didn't help they wouldn't give me $4750 off. Came home and called Ford rebate center and they told me the same thing. Good luck and I love this 6.2L so far coming from a 01 Dodge 2500!

So just got off the phone with a Zag certified ford dealer (Going through Zag gives you a truck for 200$ under invoice). Told me yes, if the rebates go up after you order you get the higher rebates, if they go down you are locked in at the higher, just like previously stated. I asked him when the drop dead date was to order a 2011, as I know the rebates won't be as high on the 2012's for a while, I'll let everyone know that when he gets back to me. Just trying to get my current truck traded before it goes over a 100,000 miles, or the trade value drops because they can't put extended warranty's on and what not.

How long does it take to get a brochure with a 750$ voucher in it, and are people still getting them?

Thanks,
Chris

Iggy, when you used X plan, did you trade a truck, and if so, did they stiff you on it?

It' s not a deal if they stiff you on the trade, as the end deal isn't the same.

Thanks,
Chris

2 Questions:

1) What is the official Drop Dead date for ordering an '11 ?
2) Is the $750 rebate gone, or what?

The last day to order a 2011 was May 4th. The order banks are long closed. They are just finishing what is already on order and then will be getting ready to build 2012's. I am not sure when the order banks open on 2012's I can't remember if it was this month or early in July.

The Dealer I asked said they still had allocation so they could still order me a 2011 just like it was going to be sitting on their lot!

This should be interesting, I don't know how if the order banks are closed. Let us know how you make out.
