Great deal on 2011 takeoff bed; what years will it fit?

I just snagged a 2011 8' takeoff (white) including tailgate and bumper for $995. Sounds like a hell of a deal, and he says he's going to have 2 or three more.

What years will a 2011 bed fit? I'm guessing '99-up; hope I'm right.

Thanks.

Yup, it will fit those years. The only problem will be that the body lines will not match up 100% because the lines changed on the 2011s.....around the fender / wheel lip. If you can live with the mis-matched body lines, you're good to go.

The body lines will match up to the cab, The only thing that changed is the fuel door size and the lines around the wheel well only. 99% of most people will never know that the bed didn't come with the truck. Someone here already made the swap, it looked just fine.

Hey John, Is the take-off bed from someone in Connecticut? I'm looking for one for my 05 F350. Where is he located?

Thanks, Brian

Thanks all for the input. JKBrad, your response was particularly reassuring. I was just starting to think I'd made a mistake by committing to buy it.

weekend-warrior, shoot me a private message so we can discuss this. The bed(s) are located 3 1/2 hours away from me, and I'm plannng on CL'ing them for as much as I can get. Maybe we can work out a FTE discount.

I'm also thinking of offering them painted to order, and/or bedlined top and bottom. I've always thought that the way to make them last a long time is to line the bottoms as well as the inside. Also maybe figure out how water gets into the wheel arches and put a stop to that.

For some reason I'm thinking you might be able to sell those beds, I'm not sure why but I just think think you might find a market for them! Monty says to buy as many as you can! At least I think thats what he said? (I don't speak very good Dog)

Here's the contact info for the guy who was advertising the bed I was talking about in my first post. He said he'd be doing more takeoffs, but I have no idea if any are available now or not, or if he's bumped up his price, which struck me as being insanely reasonable.

Ford 2011 take-off bed, tailgate, bumper $995

I think you got a good deal.

When we have take offs at my shop we sell the 8' beds for $1500.00

And the 6' beds for $2000.00

we sell the beds complete as removed ...

99% include the tailgate, bumper and lights. Some include the factory hitch.

99% of the beds we have are new take offs with less than 20 miles on the trucks.

Wow, I've got some rust comin' thru my pass fender and have been trying to figure out if it'd be cheaper to repair or replace with a takeoff. That is an incredibly reasonable price, as you said. Heck, if the repairs are even within a couple hundred of that it'd be worth the new bed and having zero rust issues.
