1989 f250 2wd low rpm 2nd gear shudder

hello, new to this site and have an annoying problem with my truck i recently bought. my 1989 f250 460 auto c6 2wd runs great with remand motor and drives good until heats up a little bit, then at low rpm going in to 2nd gear there is a shudder.ive searched all answers and searched for info this problem but all i can come up with info for is over drive trans. but promblem is identical. i would like to know if it possible to connect a switch to control lock up on torque converter.please help if you can, or have any other suggestions. all answers will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think your C6 uses a lockup converter.

You are 100% correct, no converter lockup on a C6.
I would suggest checking the band adjustment followed by dropping the pan, cleaning it and the filter, draining the torque converter and refilling the trans with fresh fluid.

How does it shift? Does it shift quickly like a normal C6 should, or kinds of sliiiides in gear?

Adjusting the band may well help. It must be done correctly and once done certainly won`t hurt.
