Not only possible but probable! is that rear bumper aluminum? it looks like it to me.

edit: hey i think those led replacement bulbs would be cool! I like the sharp, brite LED tail/brake lights!

I like the idea of having the yellow for turn and flashers, and red for brake and running lights. Side by each is good. How do they look putting the yellow a little lower on the side of the fender?

I am here. Since it was pointed out about the single red only that is really my preference. I thought we had to choose between which of the two choices.

Here is the link that discusses a park/turnsignal conversion in my build thread. The brake lights use the turn signal bulbs.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...2-build-6.html

Use a good quality socket not a cheap one and you will be happy. I don't know what the diameter is of the lights you have selected as that will affect it also.

Take it apart and take a picture of what you have to work with and we can get you there. Don't forget I need the diameter of the light housing at the biggest point.

One other choice would be LEDS so there are lots of choices.

I like the idea of a single red as well. I think the two on top of the fender overwhelm things a bit. It would be good to have a picture from further back.

Would it be possible to put one of the lights inside the fender??? just below the one on top of the fender? That might look weird though. And be hard to do, but hey you have a cutter and welder now.

Nice looking Jeep in the background there....Hey, that's kind of what I'm thinking on your truck. Have a light like those on the Jeep just below the one on top of the fender.

Maybe they just need new lenses and bulbs but, the evening picture at the gas pump showed they were not very bright. In that case then I am of the school that more is better.

There are LED's that would fit that and going that route would certainly be bright enough to suffice. There are single bulb units that replace 1157 bulbs and plug right into the socket without any special wiring or anything like that.

I have a couple friends that have them on their bikes. They even have some that blink in different patterns to make them more noticeable under running light conditions then blink rapidly when when you first apply the brakes before lighting steady.

lights and bumper

I havent made up my mind on the lights yet but it will either be one light for all or i will leave the red one in place and will put yellow one below that.
I will either cut the fender or cut the light itself.
Anyone know how to french lights????
The bumper.I saw a guy about welding my bumper and he said for 50 dollars he would do it but i had to wait 2 hours.I wanted to come to Viva so I said no.
My bro will be welding it with the arc welder and alum rods.

UPDATE

Been working on the truck lately and on other peoples houses.(Don't tell people you will lend them a hand because they will all call you at once)
I got the spare fender all patched up so I have a spare fender 98% rust free!!1
I was thinking of getting my seat rebuilt but I was given a 1970s/1980s Lincoln car back seat and let me tell you, It fits perfectly.I just have to Fabricate a frame to attach the seat to the floor on the cab.
The money I saved I will use towards some vinyl for the interior and some insulation.
PIC1- The bumper brackets are made and I am just waiting for my bro to arc weld the aluminum seam.
PIC2-I found out the first 2 pairs of lights were different so they fit in different places around the fenders,so I went and got 2 more bullet lights that matched the other pair. This Is what I ended up with.I wanted to get some caddy tail lights and french them, but every one has them.
PIC3-This is the Lincoln seat.It is almost perfect. If I ever want to reupholster it I will only need to buy a cover since the springs and padding are perfect.

PIC1-I even get an arm rest that eventually I want to convert to a cup holder.
PIC2-The padding and spring are perfect
PIC3-I wont have to clean or mess with THIS.
This crap was flying around the cab all the time.It came loose with the bumps.
I pressure washed the seat and blew it with compressed air but It would not clean it.I even thought about burning it but I needed a seat and I wanted to drive the truck. Now I might strip it and rebuild the springs and have it ready.

Wow, you have been busy. That seat looks good and seems to fit really well.

I also like the lights as they are different and as you say not like everybody else caddy tail light conversion.

Did you get the second PM I sent???
