Towing power

Towing power
New to the forum. I would like to know if anyone has added cam/ headers / electronic custom engine tuner to their 5.4 2V to increase towing performance and with what results.
I recently purchased a low profile 7x14 enclosed bike hauler and feel like I'm pushing the truck harder than I want. Approx. 5000 lbs. My truck is a 2000 4WD ext cab with 33x11.50's. I know the oversize tires don't help, considering added weight and dropped engine RPM.
Any recommendations??

Welcome to the forum!
Running the taller tires effectively changes the gear ratio. Taking your gear ratio and tire size the net gear ratio can be found, just don't remember where it's located. However, there are two choices! Change the tires or change the gear ratio. Adding more power to what your running will simply increase the load right down the drive train causing possible failure of parts due to a high effective gear ratio.
Something to think about, as I am dealing with a similar problem...
