My stock CD radio is slowly loosing its am stations to static. As i listen to the news in the mornings I really need to fix.
I pulled the radio out and disconnected the antenna but this only affected the FM stations.
Is there anything in side the radio itself I could fix or do i need a new
radio? And if any one has a stock radio that will fit please let me know.

i had that problem with my radio also. at the same time i lost a couple of speeds on my blower motor. so i changed out my blower motor resistor under the glove box area and problem solved for me no static in radio and all of my speeds 1-4 on my blower motor back 98 f150 . i hope this helps
