by the way, i plan on replacing these wheels with chrome, these are a junkyard set.the bumpers will also be stainless. still alot to do but this is what time and money allow for now.

Nice lookin truck. Good job. What year bullit wheels are those? 99-04 or 05+? It looks like the perfect fit. I am wanting to do this front end install but really wanted to run red steelies with chrome caps and trim rings. Im not sure i would be able to with that front end.

Here's the scoop with the CV front end you are limited to wheel selection and ride height. If you want to drop the front end you will have to air bag it for driving or like I suggested as well a few others mentioned the idea of widening the front fenders I would think about 2''. I'm sure there is someone out there that is attempting this with a slightly abused set of fenders before they commit. had I stayed in Winnipeg I'm sure Gil and I would have attempted this. I mentioned a bunch of other threads regarding this conversion check them out also. Thanks for checking out this thread and good luck with the 56 regardless of what you decide to do.

How much does the ride height differ from the stock setup to the cv? In the end of my project I'm looking for about a 2 in drop in the front so wondering if this will accomplish that or not?

So as long as I leave it the stock cv height should be in the clear cause we dont plan on bagging it just leaving it the factory cv height. Thanks for you help

I placed a piece of 1/2'' stock between the bottom of my frame and the CV clip. Doug used 3/8'' pretty much the same thing. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'm considering having a set of steel rims made, with the proper offset to use the crown Vic front end. So I'll be able to leave the fenders stock.

Fat Fendered (Doug) used stock fenders and stock mustang rims. So you can see by the pics that it will work. The widening of the fenders was an idea for those that want to put deep dish rims or drop the front of the truck. I had mentioned the idea on another thread then dropped the idea on here as well. If anyone has attempted it, I'd like to see the pictures. hope this Helps.

Can anyof you guys help me out with some measurments of where the cross member will be in the frame. I should be getting a cv front end this weekend. But my frame is bare and i dont want to put the body on it to figure out where i need it.
