That's not too heavy of a pin weight. I am looking at the momentum 388 by Grand Design. Has pin weight of 2800.

That's a nice fifth hope you get what you want, now the scorpion 4014 by Winnebago
The way they designed them , anything put in the garage will reduce the pin weight 150-200 per every 1,000 lbs, gaining me more ability to load in the front. I'll have to play with it to get my desired balance . Also the water and fuel tanks are centered over the axles so that won't change my pin only gvw which is limited to 20,600 per ford

you need to go off of the GVW of the trailer and use a figure of 20% to come close to the actual pin wt.

Need to know what the avail payload you have as well, but that will require you to scale the truck empty.

My GVW would be 18500 so I'm pretty sure I would be over for a SRW F350.

king pin in the neiborhood of 3700 lbs.

Since this is not a toyhauler that should be pretty close.

See what you have for avail payload but I think you will need to upgrade.

Scott, the Momentum 388M is indeed a TH with a dry pin of 2800#. So, he likely would be fine on the trucks GVWR/Payload with some weight in the garage. He'd be over on GCWR/Tow Rating but like you, most of us don't worry about that.

Toy Hauler is certainly a different animal. I agree, he most likely will be ok with the payload issue.

The suggested max GCVWR is fictious. DOT cares about axle and tire ratings and your registration.

Thanks guys. My max payload is 3790. So, with 425# of diesel, small toolbox and TH at 2800 +/- I should be ok. Toys in the garage will lower the pin weight also but I won't always be hauling toys.
