Will this starter fit my 7.3 IDI?

Starter 1988-1989 International 7.3 diesel eng - rblt | eBay

This looks different from the stock Mitsubishi starter, but it does say that it's for a 7.3 with a manual transmission, but for an international 1654 truck?

I have an 89 F-250 with a zf5 manual and 7.3 idi

Does anyone know if this starter will fit my truck? If not, why?

Thanks

I'm going to cautiously say no. Reason: wrong bolt pattern

It's hard for me to tell from the ebay pics, but the 3 bolt holes look evenly spaced, where they should look like this>

EDIT: I'll say its wrong probably because of the SAE bellhousing that a medium duty truck like the 1654 would use with its manual transmission....

yea I wouldn't risk it especially rebuilt, sounds a little squirrely, cant ever trust ebay. I spent I think it was around 130 for a brand new Bosch, and don't regret it at all.

It might fit the holes but that looks to be a direct drive starter. Most of the Fords use a gear reduction starter, either inline or offset that are much much smaller to fit in the cramped space. Outside of DB, find a local alternator/starter shop, usually you'll get a good price and often 1 hour turnaround if you need a rebuild.
