2003 f250 will not crank with ignition switch but will crank with red wire on passenger side any help will be appreciated. Has FASS fuel pump system, new batteries. Could it be the FICM ? or PCM ? All fuses have been checked numerous times.

 

Could very well be the ignition switch itself
Will is actually start with the key in run, whilst cranking with starter wire?

 

Make sure it is in park. Wiggle the shifter a bit while turning the key.

 

Thanks for the info passed it on to my friend, he has nothing but problems with his truck , mostly self induced .

 

Stopped at gas station ,,2015 F250 with 6.2 would not crank wiggled gear shift lever several times, nada,,,went up and down the gear settings then tried again nada,,,got booster cables out , called son ,,,tried again and it started,,,anyone have an idea what could have caused issue???
