Spring fever 2011 style

Us Northern guys can relate. Snow is melting, the air is humid and foggy, the Robins are re-appearing, and the Tshirts are coming out of storage. Yep, that means we are getting close.... just waiting on the yard to dry. Soon we can see our trucks again, be it waiting for access to the barn so the truck can be driven, or the project can be rolled out of the garage while doing some Spring cleaning, and so on. I look forward to getting my frame blasted and painted this Summer, and to start adding all of the goodies. Got a line on getting my Uncle's trucks home, too. This could be a year of moving forward, instead of backward or idle due to the economy of the past couple years.

Yep, this is the time of year us Northern guys plan big!

I am with you Havi as this has been a long winter and yet I still have more to do that I have time to do it. I need to be gone from the body shop by the end of this month.

Still I can't wait to be driving it home regardless of where I am on it.

We had temps in the 80s today but barely any time to work on my toys. My wife wanted the outer hall redone by Easter, my youngest, who wants to go into carpentry said he'd do in a weekend by himself, yeah right. "We've" been working on for the last four weekends. I also have a heavy load of work at work, good I guess but my family is finding uses for every penny I'm making but I'm am grabbing some for my Buick. The trucks are still winter napping until I know we aren't going to get dumped with snow, it could happen.

I'm expecting to see a long line of U-Hauls this Spring from people moving south. Happens every time there's a bad winter up there -- not that ours was so great. Coldest temps in like 60 years, saw 5 below at my house. I know, Boo hoo...

LOL... Here we have another month or two before we stop driving the ones without AC because of the heat... When I was yonger (5 years ago, I drove without AC all summer) I'm spoiled now... And Wednesday, I get to learn more about AC for the '49.

Yah Jim, I'm going to So-Cal AZ for a seminar featuring the folks from Vintage Air... I'm looking forward to it... Once I add air it would extend my f1 driving time to all summer...

I look forward to you sharing your new knowledge. I plan to add A/C-Heat to mine but since I have to wait I can learn from you and possibly cut down on the headaches.....

The real beauty of these new street rod units is that they are small but powerful. Besides we really don't have much area to heat or cool.
