It would be nice to have a price range to better help.
A nice solid no rust truck will be 2k and up. Super nice originals can run 10k or more.

Probably a lot harder to find a good rust-free truck in Northeast, due to salting the roads, which is murder on the old iron.
Had a neighbor, moved down from New York with a 7 year old car that was like swiss cheese!
Although you will have to drive further, I think you will do better finding decent unrestored rust-free cars that are still on the road and being driven daily in dryer and milder climates.
