my answer to ruined paint

Well guys ive given it somethough and i think im going to go with herculiner on the bottom half of my truck. pick what combo you guys like the best out of the pics and help me with the poll. these are just photoshops, so there not the best.

Phil. Try going a little higher with the black covering the body line going over the fender. I was thinking of doing that to mine.

Right on. If you ask where our trucks are showing rust you will get responses that indicate to cover the portion of the fenders that a set of OEM or pocket type fender flares would cover.

I think the black stripe looks better with what you're going with (black on the bottom)... I'm also with the guys on putting herculiner on the truck all the way up to the body contours.

hm cool thanks for the advice guys, how far do you think? i dont want to do the whole fender area but how much do you think will look ok?

Follow the crease in the body just below the door emblem that goes over the fenders.

I voted for black pin-stripe. I also agree you should Rhino-line the fender well arches.

Red grille to match body would also look good.

Phil,
I have been kicking the same idea for a couple months now....couple of questions
1..how hard will it be to keep clean????I know i have to take a medium brissel brush to clean my bumpers and bed..
2. what is the line between colors going to be like???

No pinstripe. My factory black stops where you have it. If u do anything to the grill go all black or nothing. Then you would need to black out the bumper too. IMO

yea true, im not sure man. i wish i coudl test it somewhere lol. let me borrow your truck to test it.

I would go white pin stripe but on top of the body line not underneath, or no pin stripe at all
