stalling???? help

stalling???? help
hell my ford people i need some help here. today i was driveing my baby and my truck started to cutout on me like my truck was running out of gas i dropped from 70mph to about 40 on the ex way and by the time i got to the right lane to [ukk over it took off on me and drove like normal. it didnt die on me just seemed like it was running out of fuel.Then on my way home it did it to me again. it did not die ran rough for about 5 to 10 sec and then took off. this has not ever occured b4 and besides regular maintenance nothing major has ever happend. just looking for some ideas of what i should look at. any input would be great thanks. o yeagh and its a 5.0 with a e4od thanks

Just a thought..
Last time the fuel filter was changed?
Last major tune-up? i.e. plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Could be fuel pressure related...Have you checked fuel pressure?
Let us know your results..
Edit: What year, miles and was the CEL on?

I'm having the same problem, 95 F150 4.9L 5-spd. I changed all tuneup stuff (plugs, wires, cap, rotor). Have you ever tried switching tanks when accelerating? Mine will buck when switching tanks (both tanks have gas). Watching this thread with interest.

i know its past due for a full tune up but with gas prices its hard to do right now but i wouldnt think that would be the issue with it but idk. i have not checked the fuel pressure on it which is something i will do this weekend but wouldnt the pressure only drop at the time it stalls? yeah it has 2 tanks but i rarely ever put gas in the rear tank but when you do switch tanks i think it is normal for it to stall for a quick moment
